Wireless communication systems require radio frequencies to operate effectively and safely. When designing and implementing a new radio system, it is imperative that you are in compliance with the FCC rules and regulations to avoid interference or possible fines.
We understand the process for frequency coordination and FCC licensing regulations and will make sure all applications are done correctly to ensure your new radio system is fully compliant.
Our team works closely with the FCC frequency coordinators and FCC licensing staff for all your regulatory needs, including
- New FCC license
- FCC License Renewal
- FCC Construction Notification
- FCC License Modifications

Our Network Operations Center (NOC) serves as the central hub for ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of our field infrastructure. We maintain constant vigilance over nearly 200 critical devices, tracking data from over 1,000 unique device sensors and monitoring points. This extensive, real-time data collection enables our team to be highly proactive, often detecting subtle performance degradation, resource exhaustion, or component failure well before the issue impacts a customer’s service. This commitment to pre-emptive problem-solving is fundamental to maintaining a resilient system.
By leveraging industry-standard protocols, most notably the Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP), we translate raw sensor data into actionable insights, enabling rapid diagnosis and remediation. This powerful monitoring capability is the cornerstone of our service department, helping customers achieve “five nines” (99.999%) of system availability.
Furthermore, recognizing that some clients require specialized oversight, we are also equipped to offer private system monitoring solutions where system architecture and security protocols permit. Our NOC is dedicated to maximizing uptime and delivering superior stability across every monitored system.

Federal Radio offers the Peace of Mind (POM) maintenance plan to ensure your radio system and subscriber units are operating at peak performance at all times. The POM plan is supported by highly experienced diagnostic technicians to inspect, adjust, and maintain each unit subscribed to the plan.
A worry-free POM plan from Federal Radio will keep every unit operating within the manufacturer’s specifications.
The plan has two basic components: 1) annual preventative maintenance 2) as-needed diagnostic and repair service. For fixed system and backbone equipment, our technicians will respond to a report of a problem within 4 hours. Mobile radio units can be serviced on-site, usually within 48 hours. Portable radios will be covered by our mail-in program and returned to you via UPS at no additional cost to you.
