The Department of Shapes and Sizes occupies a building with 700 employees in a building of 14 floors, 2 sub-basements and a parking garage. The iDOR system user groups support Security, Bldg Engineers, Custodian and designated emergency Floor Wardens. The Icom portables are programmed specifically to match the needs of each user group. The daily radio users such as Security supervisors and Bldg Engineers may have the ability to send and receive messages, check to see if another radio is turned-on or other advanced functions. Mean while the Floor Wardens need only to have voice communication with the Incident Command team and a radio configured so then can't mess it up.
